Churchs of Troy
The First Baptist Church Of Troy.
This is the first organized church of Troy started in 1808.
The first structure was used May 5th 1809. Originally located in present day
Glenwood Cemetery. The graveyard for the Baptist Church is
located within Glenwood. (The Old Section)
The Presbyterian Church of Troy was organized March 22nd 1822
Methodist
Originally built on Canton Street is 1855 where the Trojan Lodge is today.
Moved to Redington Avenue and dedicated in 1874
The old structure became the Opera House with the upper
part of the steeple removed.
